BlackVue DR750LW-2CH Dashboard Camera – Our Review
As per summer 2014, Pittasoft Blackvue DR750LW-2CH is the latest offering from a very well-known and highly trusted company Pittasoft. It’s a dual channel dashboard camera (it records what’s ahead and after your vehicle) that’s live and loaded with some very innovative and never seen before features that we’ve discussed below, hence just read on.
First, Blackvue DR750LW-2CH is one of the first dash cams in the market that records at 1080p (Full HD) @ 30 FPS on both the channels. This means that you get a full HD, crisp and clear video of everything that’s ahead and after your vehicle (See Sample Videos).
Second, it’s the first dual channel dash cam from Pittasoft that comes with a 4” WVGA (800×480) LCD Touchscreen display. Just like the camera menu and settings, the display too is incredibly user friendly and the screen allows managing and changing setting of front and rear cameras.
Third, it has the picture in picture (PIP) functionality; that allows you to view video from rear camera directly on to the screen and hence Blackvue DR750LW-2CH can also be doubled up as reversing camera
Fourth, it’s based on super capacitor and doesn’t use battery as alternate source of power. This makes Blackvue DR750LW-2CH more robust in resisting extreme hot or cold climate. The operating and storage temperature range from -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) and -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F) respectively.
Fifth, if Blackvue DR750LW-2CH senses that the temperature of the dash cam is going beyond certain limit then it shuts down automatically; this prevents damage to the dashboard camera and recorded video footage.
Sixth, Blackvue DR750LW-2CH will turn itself off if the voltage of your car battery goes below a certain limit. The best part is that you can choose that “voltage limit” from 11.8V, 12V, 22.8V, and 23.2V values from the menu itself.
Seventh, with other dashboard cameras, upgrading the firmware can be a big pain in the butt; but with Blackvue DR750LW-2CH the firmware is upgraded automatically via WiFi. All you need to do is to install the free Andriod or iOS app on your smart phone and that’s it.
Eighth, the slim look design of Blackvue DR750LW-2CH is very different from its predecessors. While the front camera closely resembles a smart phone, the rear one is kept cylindrical for discreetness. Look wise, all we can say that both the cameras look trendy and very premium.
Of course, all the regular features such as loop recording, date and time stamp in video, auto on/off, G-sensor etc. are a part of Blackvue DR750LW-2CH. Other features that come with Blackvue DR750LW-2CH are GPS (external and optional), WiFi and the very rare parking mode.
Blackvue DR750LW-2CH supports a 64 GB memory card. Viewing angles for front camera are 146° diagonal, 115° horizontal, 85° vertical and for the rear one are 129° diagonal, 108° horizontal, 57° vertical.
At last, all we have to say that the Blackvue DR750LW-2CH is really the next level of technology in the dashboard camera market.

We request you to view the video in full screen and choose the maximum resolution; this will give you a better understanding of video quality captured by the dashboard camera.
Day Time Video Sample – Front Camera
As we’ve said earlier that the day time video quality of Blackvue DR750LW-2CH is pretty kick ass, the Sony EXMOR CMOS sensor really does an awesome job during day time. Everything’s crystal clear and very crisp. Good job Pittasoft!
Day Time Video Sample – Rear Camera
Not only the front camera, but the rear camera does works really well in day time. The video is very clear and there’s a great amount of detail captured by rear cam. However, it’s not as god as the front cam but is still very good.
Night Time Video Sample – Front Camera
Pittasoft has really done an awesome job of improving the night time video quality. The video from the front camera is very clear even in such low light condition.
Night Time Video Sample – Rear Camera
The rear camera seems to struggle a bit during low light condition. The video quality is only ok and not that good as the front camera.

Blackvue DR750LW-2CH Dashboard Camera – Our Verdict:
So, if you’re looking for a technologically advanced, very reliable dual channel dashboard camera then there’s no doubt that Blackvue DR750LW-2CH is a very good one.
However, you may need to cough up some good amount of money for it as it costs around $350 (Amazon US, at the time of writing) and is really an expensive dash cam.
